Experience
I have developed a teaching philosophy over the last ten years that is based on active learning where the student becomes an analytical and critical thinker. They also become able to independently solve problems that involve the material. I believe that compassion, understanding, care for the student's needs, and patience are the essential ingredients needed to succeed in the learning process. I have found that when a positive relationship is established with the student and when an environment is created that is conducive to learning that a student has a much greater chance of achieving their goals. I have experience instructing multiple business classes at community colleges and universities. Through my experience, I have found that a nurturing style results in the most positive outcomes. I will work with the student at their own pace so that they are receptive and comfortable with me. It is my goal to make sure my students are equipped with the tools and skills that they need to navigate the course they are taking and arrive at the end with the grade they desire. I am available to tutor a variety of different classes such as economics, business management, essay editing, and marketing.
